You Missed The Rapture? Here’s What You Need To Know About Christians & The Church

Sep 23, 2015

In case you missed the rapture, the rapture being the time when Jesus removed His bride (the church) from the earth before the Great Tribulation, there are things you may want cleared up in reference to the world before the rapture happened.  I’ve written this because scripture says that in the time that your currently in there will be strong delusion that will not allow many of you to receive the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:11).  This is my attempt to provide some assistance in accessing the truth and breaking that strong delusion.

In specific reference about Christians and the church before the rapture there are some things you need to know.  First off, not everyone that called themselves “Christians”  were actually believers in repentance & salvation only through Jesus Christ. Not all of them had a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Not all of them lived by His Word and made Him the priority & center point of their life.

Now please understand there were many that claimed their belief in Jesus. There were many that went to church regularly. Many that you may have been sure that they were on their way to heaven because of their dedication to their religion. But the unfortunate fact is that many of those same people are still here with you and were not raptured up with the Lord.  I’d imagine that many pastors of the most prominent churches are still here as well.

The simple truth is that most of the Christians, particularly in the United States were following religion more than they followed Jesus.  They made the church an actual organization with structure & hierarchy, rather than the church being a group of people with all the same values, belief, and doctrine all being guided by the Holy Spirit.  Many looked for titles and leadership roles in  their churches.  They wanted to be looked at as a figure of  authority when it came to things of God. It was all about their church, organization, and pastor.  They didn’t know that they made their church and/or pastor an idol.

The majority of churches in the U.S. were not biblically based, but traditionally based.  They were built around traditions that were passed down over time. A lot of the traditions coming straight from the Roman Catholic Church in the 4th Century when Rome made Christianity their main religion. They tied Christianity up with their pagan beliefs. Traditions and practices like Sunday worship, church organizational structure, tithing, Christmas, Easter, and many other traditions.  Even though  Mark 7:13 tells us that our tradition passed down makes the Word of God have no effect in our lives, it did not matter to most. They still continued on with their man-made traditions. Colossians 2:8 told us not to conform to the principles and philosophies of man, but again many ignored that instruction as well. The main reason being that most Christians did not even know the Bible said these things because sadly most Christians did not read their Bibles.  Most just trusted that their pastor was telling them what God wanted them to know.

Most Christians woke every Sunday morning, put their best clothes on, and made sure they gave God His 4 hours of attention for the week at church service.  They felt guilty if they missed a church service. They looked down on others that didn’t dress up.  They looked down upon those that didn’t go to church or have a church home.  They never understood that they didn’t need to get up anywhere to be in church because they WERE the church.  As long as they lived through the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit lead their lives they were bringing the church to the world more than any building or organization could do.

Many felt like they went to church to hear from God.  They felt their pastor was anointed by God, so every Sunday they were hearing a word from the Lord through their pastor.  They never knew that because they were born again they now had access to the Holy Spirit.  God was living inside of them.  As long as they yielded to the Holy Spirit they could hear from God as much as they wanted.

Many of them actually put their pastor and their churches in priority of their one on one relationship with the Lord.  There was an intermediary between their relationship.  This intermediary actually becoming an idol. They were warned constantly about idols and keeping from them.  They were told all the history of what happened to the children of Israel because of idols, but it did not matter.

Many Christians lived exactly like the world lived.  The only difference (in their opinion) with them and the rest of the world was that they believed in Jesus and everyone else didn’t.  That’s why they were saved.  But they loved the world and all the things in it. You could not really see the difference between them and people who did not believe in Jesus. For many Christians, their main goal in life was to obtain all the things of the world.  God was just the source for them obtaining it.  They never knew that because they were believers they were supposed to be different from everyone else.  They were not to love the world and things of the world (1 John 2:15).  They were called to not be of this world (Romans 12:2).

You may have encountered some of the true believer’s that were raptured up. If you interacted with them you may have felt they were very different, even extreme in some ways.  They never took part in the changing world tradition’s and values.  In fact they might have very distinct words speaking against the things that were common practices  and even entertainment for everyone else. Sometimes they were a sort of rain on your parade. They did not do the same things others did.  They did not believe in politicians and false leaders. They  may have had words of rebuke about President Obama & the direction he’s taking the world and it may have bothered you.  They might have always spoke about having discernment. Most of the time you may have thought of  them as being negative because they never enjoyed most of the things that everyone else was enjoying.  You might have thought of them as a conspiracy theorist scared of the world, because they kept warning about it changing and God’s judgement being near.

Try to remember the things that they were telling you.  Most importantly please get a Bible and read it for yourself.  This site was made to give you the truth about subjects that most people did not  touch during our time so please use it as a reference point, but back everything up according to the Word.  Read the Bible for yourself and ask the Lord to guide you through it.  The New Testament is the most important part in the beginning because it provides you understanding on the importance of Jesus and the Lord’s gift of Grace.  After having a good grasp on Him, go back to the Old Testament to understand the history of man, Israel, and their interactions with the One True God.  It’s a history book with Word’s of prophecy from God in reference to the future.  Many have now happened, some are yet to come.  Revelations is specifically about the end.  You will read this book a lot. If you have not done so, please read the repentance prayer. Pray it and mean it.  Unfortunately you may be persecuted and you certainly face trials ahead, but the good news is you have this last chance to get it right.  Many were not afforded that luxury. Accept Jesus Christ as your messiah and redemption of your sins! Walk in the power of the Lord. I look forward in meeting you soon. Amen! God Bless!

Note:

If this is before the rapture, please read the Bible for yourself.  Rebuke the religious practices that have been passed down over time and reject the world and the things of it.  Do not be conformed by the principles and traditions of this world, but be renewed by the Word of God.  Repent daily and break away from all bondage and unclean spirit, demon, and/or principality.

Excellent description of the way thing are today. I hope that more people other than “choir members” will read this. God bless!

  3. The delusion is the fact that the rapture is immediately after the tribulation not before. When people realize that they are not more special than their brothers and sisters in other parts of the world and that all saints will go through those dark days hopefully they won’t fall away.Antichrist makes war with the saints Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Jesus said He that endureth to the end shall be saved

    • Well the church is different than all others around the world because we are all born again. We do not believe God’s wrath is towards us. But if we are here for the tribulation, for those that are true believers it won’t mean much either way, because we rest on His promise, grace, mercy, & protection on earth. But we also rest on His Word to the church of Philadelphia which we all should want to be in (Revelation 3:10-12). If I’m still here it gives me more time to preach to the world that they may be saved. Believers are ready for life here on earth and life after our time here is done

    • Amen, Jose! It’s good to see more and more Christians recognizing that the Day of the Lord (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, Revelation, and all the OT prophets, especially Daniel) will be after the Tribulation… not before it.

      A little bit of history:
Not one early Church father ever wrote about a pre-tribulation rapture, including the disciples of Paul the Apostle and John the beloved Disciple. In all of their writings, they wrote that the Church would face the Anti-Christ. These men were mentored/taught by Paul and John. This included men such as Polycarp and Iraneus.

The first time in history pre-trib was ever mentioned in any writing was in the 1830’s. It had never been heard of prior to that time. And the men in the 1800’s that first presented the pre-trib theories have very dubious backgrounds to say the least. Scoffield (of the Scoffield Bible was an embezzler that did time in jail for stealing from and bankrupting his mother-in-law and this was after his “Christian conversion. He was called a scalawag, shyster, fraudster, etc by the newspapers in his day. JN Darby wasn’t much better. And these are the men that introduced the pre-trib theory to the public for the first time in history.

The wonderful pastor, Charles Spurgeon, actually took out full page advertisements in the papers of the day warning the European public about the false doctrine they had created. The beloved George Mueller, the great evangelist and Director of the Ashley Down Orphanage in England, called them heretics.

Jesus warns all through Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 of spiritual deception. I believe there are at least 4 or 5 warnings (“Do not be deceived…”) in Matthew 24.

Just a few verses on the subject.

He (the Anti-Christ) shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time.
      ~Daniel 7:25

“Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will GATHER TOGETHER (the rapture) His elect (all believers in Jesus Christ) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
      ~Jesus Christ – Matthew 24:29-31

Now, brethren (Christians), concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him (the Rapture), we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day (the Day of the Lord) will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (The Saints will face the Anti-Christ! He will be revealed before the Day of the Lord).
      ~Paul the Apostle ~2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

In Titus 2:11-14, we are encouraged by the blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus Christ. The BLESSED HOPE is that he is coming back for us and we will rule and reign with Him as saints in His Millennial Kingdom and Tabernacle with God in eternity. That is the blessed hope. Nowhere in scripture does Jesus ever tell us He is coming back early for some saints in a secret rapture.

      Blessings and Peace to all!

      Exactly.

What you fail to realize my brother is that many of the Saints will not be raptured but would be those who are killed because they did not receive the mark of the beast. Rev 3:10, because the Rapture had already taken place there was a question asked about the large number of people that came later Rev 7:13-14 support that the Lord will get his bride before the Great Tribulation. Yashua is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle. This is referring to induce individuals because we are the church. So only those five wise virgins who kept oil in their lamps will be raptured. That looks like about half of those who are born again, figuratively speaking…

I recently heard a radio program discussing some of the same things.

The Scriptures are abundantly clear that the rapture occurs immediately after the Tribulation. Jesus Himself said this, any contradicting doctrines are a lie. The doctrine that believers are taken before the tribulation is a lie based on the twisting of scripture and it holds no scriptural backing aside from in itself being part the great delusion. We are kept from the wrath of God…but believers will die in the tribulation before the return of the Lord.
    Study to shew thyself approved.
Anyone who actually reads the Bible knows this to be true…
The troubles soon come…and those who are not prepared will suffer.

    • I find your comment in a very condescending tone. I do know the scriptures and read them as well. Your response leaves no room for Revelations 3:10. And the fact that we don’t know the day or hour. Based upon your view we know exactly when the rapture will be which is the day after 7 years of peace made by the AntiChrist. I would advise caution on speaking in the manner you speak when speaking on things of the Lord. If you are right or wrong, your tone doesn’t display the love that anyone would receive your point in the first place

Sometimes I wonder about a great many of teachings. The Holy Spirit is what leads to all truth. It does not lie. The first person we lie to every day is ourselves if we think we have it all figured out. The best thing to do is not get distracted from doing the work of Ya in the name of Yashua. Arguing is not commanded anywhere in scripture, yet that seems to be what we spend a great deal of time doing. How do we know if we are His disciples? If we love one anotner (while keeping His commandments of course). Question. I was baptized 20 years ago, but only started repenting seriously and born again 2ish years ago. Should I get baptized again?

Most of us have been taught one theory or another when it comes to the Lord’s second coming, or rapture, as some prefer to call it. Is it Pre-tribulation? Is it Mid-tribulation? Or is it Post-tribulation? Does the Bible even use the term “rapture?” Many have even been taught of a secret rapture that will occur without the rest of the wicked world knowing where the Christians have gone. They are preaching a day will come when suddenly millions of Christians will be mysteriously missing. They teach the Christians will actually vanish into thin air. Truth is, if you do some checking you will find this happens to be the most common belief in the churches today.

We must also consider the seven year tribulation period that all three beliefs claim as still to come upon the world. Some believe the seven years will be an opportunity for the lost to have their last chance to see the errors of their evil ways and finally convert to Christianity. A major feat no less seeing how according to their own theories, all the “real” Christian preachers and teachers were supposedly raptured up beforehand. I ask, how does God spread His Truth now? By using Christians to share their faith and the Scriptures they already studied, right? Romans 10:14 says, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” If all those preachers are raptured up already, who is preaching?

2 Thessalonians 2:3-6 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. ”

2 Thessalonians 2:8 “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:”

Here we see the wicked one is revealed, and THEN the Lord destroys him “with the brightness of His coming.” Again, many declare Jesus comes first, and then the wicked one is revealed to all. This verse alone proves they are deceived. The way this entire passage is penned proves only believers understand who the wicked one is, and did you notice, it does not mention 7 years, and it doesn’t mention anything about it being a “secret” when Jesus returns to destroy the wicked. A little later on I will be sharing Bible verses that prove it can in no way be a “secret” rapture. They are quite blunt in fact. So blunt you will never hear of them on pulpits that declare a 7 year tribulation or secret rapture because in so doing it would expose them as false teachers.

The word rapture is not in the bible. Period. Caught up yes Rapture no.

      There is no rapture.

I have a theory about the new world that will come after the rapture and such: it is said that God will establish a new kingdom and there will be peace, no war, love etc.

And I have a theory that this has all happened before. I have a theory that there was a civilization/group of people that came before us and went through the exact same things we went through (or similar things). I have a theory that this civilization also went through a rapture, end times etc. and the ones that remained (those deemed “good”) became Angels. I have a theory that the angels were once people just like you and me, and that they became angels after ascending to Heaven with God after they went through their own version of the end times.

So what would my theory mean? Well, I’m basically saying that after the rapture and everything else has happened, history will restart all over again. God will make yet another race/species of people to go through exactly what we went through, whilst we become angels and assist God in completing the new cycle. And I have a theory that after that civilization has run its course, another will be created to restart the cycle. It will continue over and over for eternity. God makes a race, that race sins and lives on earth and finally that race finds redemption and joins him in Heaven whilst a new race is made to replace them. The same cycle repeated with no end.

This will all happen again and again, new cycles being made over and over. And why would God be making these endless repetitive cycles? Maybe He is like a toy-maker, experimenting with His newest toys and improving them with better models.

Of course this all sounds like nonsense, but hear me out. I have taken time to ask some tough questions that every person may feel at least once in their lives. Why are we here? Is there a higher purpose? Is there a God? Why does God allow evil? Why should evil exist?

    All very good questions.

And so I’m leaving you with this question: has this all happened before?
    Well, I think it has.

I know I didn’t miss the rapture, because I can say Jesus is Lord.

    1 Corinthians 12:3

“Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.”
